Ios Mac Timeline History App

May 07, 2018  On iOS, Timeline will be built into the Edge app, and on Android, you'll find it integrated with the Microsoft Launcher. The company says it'll be sharing more on Timeline for iOS and Android in. Navigation steers you right at every turn. When you’re on the move, Maps helps you find the way to your destination with turn‑by‑turn spoken directions whether you’re walking or driving. 1 Along the way, it can factor in real‑time traffic information, including the current speed limit, so you’ll know exactly how long until you arrive. And now Maps guides you even more precisely to.

Twitter has just released an update to its official Mac app with a long-awaited feature: the ability to get a live stream of recent tweets. Users can now see all the tweets that have just been published without having to manually update the timeline.

Third-party Twitter clients such as Tweetbot were very popular for offering this feature, but Twitter disabled timeline streaming for everyone with the changes it made to its API back in 2018. Now Twitter has implemented timeline streaming for the first time ever in its official app with its latest update to the Mac client — which, by the way, is based on the iOS app using the Catalyst technology.

Enabling live tweets is very simple. You just need to install the latest version of Twitter for Mac available on the Mac App Store, and then click the star icon at the top of the app. Next, turn on the “Pin to top” option, which enables timeline streaming, as Twitter explains:

You’ll see new Tweets as they are shared when you’re at the top of the Timeline.

I’ve tested the new feature and it works as promised. Once enabled, new tweets are automatically loaded in the background, so they are displayed immediately as soon as I scroll. It will be great to see that option available on the official Twitter app for the iPhone and iPad as well.

Twitter for Mac 8.17 is a free download from the App Store. The update also fixes some bugs, including an issue that constantly shows the permission dialog for Photos in the compose window.

What’s that new button in your timeline settings ✨ on Twitter for Mac? It’s a “Pin to top” toggle!

Turning it on will keep you at the top of your timeline and let the latest Tweets stream in –– no need to manually refresh your timeline.

At Build 2018, Microsoft has today announced that it is bringing support for Windows Timeline to Android and iOS later this year. Edge activities are already logged on Windows 10 PCs from the Edge app on your phone, but coming soon is the ability to see that same timeline directly on your phone for resuming web browsing activities and more.

On iOS, Timeline will be built into the Edge app, and on Android, you'll find it integrated with the Microsoft Launcher. The company says it'll be sharing more on Timeline for iOS and Android in its day two keynote tomorrow at Build, which we'll be watching. Windows Timeline is one of the more useful features to come out of the Windows 10 April 2018 Update, and now that feature should get even more useful with integration with third-party platforms.

From Microsoft:

The updated Microsoft Launcher application on Android will support Enterprise customers with easy access to line of business applications via Microsoft Intune. Microsoft Launcher on Android will also support Timeline for cross-device application launching. Today, your Microsoft Edge browsing sessions on your iPhone or iPad are included in the Timeline experience on your Windows 10 PC. Tomorrow, we'll show how later this year you'll be able to access that same Timeline on your iPhone with Microsoft Edge.

Bringing Timeline to smartphones will also enable the ability to resume activities within different apps directly on your phone too. For example, you could be working on a Word document on your PC, and then resume that same Word document on your smartphone with the Timeline integration found on Android. It'll be interesting to see how Microsoft further implements Timeline on iOS, as it's much harder to integrate with Apple's mobile platform than it is Google's.

Regardless, it's great to see Microsoft committed to bringing Windows 10 integrations to Android and iOS users. Microsoft also announced today a new feature called Your Phone, that's designed to show you the most important information about your phone directly on your PC so that you don't have to switch between your Windows 10 PC and smartphone when working on an essay or document. Make sure you check out that announcement too!
